Ivory falls in love Emerald!

It’s classy, it’s fabulous, and it works perfectly with the holiday season.  When you mix emerald and ivory around the holidays it’s great chemistry, the emerald color compliments the season yet allows the bride to still steer the theme and capture her dream wedding.  I personally love this color scheme anytime of year! Let’s start with an inspiration board.  Your invitations set the tone for your wedding, keeping it simple and classy will compliment your style. For the ceremony simple dark green floral arrangements added to guest seating will bring such a incredible pop of color, and really dress up the ceremony.  This color scheme allows you to be very detail oriented.  There are so many subtle places to have a pop of emerald, In boutonnieres, bridal bouquets, guest gifts, wedding cake, jewelry for bride and bridesmaids and the list goes on. The reception can be kept simple and elegant as well, the guests can enter into your reception and be greeted with an amazing table, with a large vase and billowing ivory and emerald shades of flowers.  I think this really sets a classy tone.  I would also go a little larger with centerpieces if you have a  more simple venue, I would recommend the centerpieces below, you can even go taller with the centerpieces if you want to, depending on your budget taller centerpieces can add so much to a plain and simple ballroom. If you’re on a budget ask your florist about leaves, they are beautiful and green, usually florists have a ton of leaves they cut off you might be able to see if she will just give them to you.  I would say get big leaves of all different sizes to bring different shapes to the table!   Allow your dessert to be decoration too! For those that don’t prefer cake, go with a candy option! They are very popular and save a lot if you’re working on a tight budget.

Let’s go back to some social event ideas coming up in the next post, I’ll also be incorporating kids parties and corporate holiday event ideas as well 🙂 What would you like to see?

Thank you for your comment Lisa! I agree, sometimes colors don’t look classy enough to be in any kind of event, but if you add to them and use them the right way they can be stunning! 🙂
